From the Designer: "This design was inspired by a piece of filet lace and is a part of my series of lace designs. I used a 36 count Silkweaver linen in the color Forest. The project is stitched using a "main" color of thicker thread in full X's and a "secondary" color of thinner thread and tent stitches. I used DMC Floche in White (one hank is enough) for the thicker thread and one strand of DMC White floss for the thinner thread (one skein is more than enough). Instead of the floche, you could stitch the "main" color using two strands of floss. There are 9,735 stitches of the "main" color and 9,634 stitches of the "secondary" color."
